Brie and Date Triangles
A mouth-watering and nutritious snack to be served with hot beverages. Also, can be served at picnic spots and on the go.
500 gm of Pastry Dough
100 grams of Brie cheese
8 whole dates, pitted
Egg wash (1 egg and 2 Tbsp. water, beaten)
50 grams of slivered almonds
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Unroll the refrigerated Puff Pastry Dough on enclosed parchment paper and place on a baking sheet. Cut the dough into 8 equal squares.
- Cut the cheese into 8 equal pieces or divide into 8 portions. Stuff each pitted date with one cheese portion and place onto a puff pastry square.
- Next, brush the edges of each puff pastry square with a very small amount of water and fold one corner to the opposite corner over the filling, to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly together to seal.
- Cover each triangle with egg wash. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
